So today I wore black, brown and grey. Neutrals ALWAYS work together. I wore this skirt which is just short enough to show a bit of my boots and now when I look at my pics, I'm thinking the skirt needs to be a little more fitted or shorter....hmmmm....somethings not right. Any insight people??? So for the rest I was quite happy with, my trusty old grey cardi and grey scarf and current favourite bag. These boots are my new ones that I purchased not so long ago for winter. One week after getting these beauties they went on sale!! Reduced by $50.00, I was not happy!!

Cardi : Vintage (means I cant remember where I bought it from!)
Skirt: Bettina Liano
Boots: Wittner
Bag: Givenchy Nightingale

Recently whilst browsing in David Jones I came across these gorgeous mannequin heads. I just fell in love with this scarf design with the flower hair tie holding it all in place. To me it was almost Hijab friendly. It's so pretty and girly. A very resorty, going away on holiday look. I'll def keep this in mind....oh to be away on holiday, away from the cold Melbourne weather!

On the weekend I went to a Sanctuary to help my son complete his observation homework. While we were haveing a lovely stroll we took some gorgeous shots. The one of the beehive amazed me and I felt the need to share it with you. As you can see my son's gorgeous red Benetton backpack goes well with my red Country Road cardi! :)

I love winter because it means we can wear dark colours and best of all we can layer. I enjoy wearing layer upon layer upon layer, and I think in the case of Melbourne's topsy turvy weather it's only smart to dress this way. You can then peel off the layers as need be. On a daily basis I need to wear flats and the best things to wear are ballet flats, well for me at least. Especially because I have two feisty little boys I need to be running after! I have a bit of a bag and shoe fetish which you will soon discover. So here is one of my outfits that I wore the other day which I will post on a regular basis. I like to think of my style as casual, understated and comfortable. And OOPS I accidentally chopped my head off!! :) Soon when I muster up the courage the rest of the body will be included....

Shirt: Ladakh
Jacket: Witchery
Jeans: Bettina Liano
Scarf: Teal (homemade)

BRINGING NATURE INSIDE

How gorgeous is this shop???? I was munching on my yummy sushi when I looked ahead and noticed this shop. It is a beauty store with a huge tree in the centre of it!

The store itself is pretty good. It has products at prices we can all afford. And their impressive range of nail polishes are ubber cheap!

I absolutely love this idea of bringing a part of nature inside. The picture does not capture the real beauty of it however it gives you an idea at least.

I'm not sure if they are trying to convey a message of the relation between nature and their products being natural. But what I do know that it is a lovely site to see and definitely drew me to the shop!

IM IN LOVE!!!!

OMG!!! Today I went on a boot hunting mission as my current boots are a few seasons old and are starting to look a little raggedy. I found the right pair for me of which I will be posting pictures up later. However, unexpectedly I also found the bargain of a lifetime!! They are a gorgeous pair of patent leather wedges. Now normally l am not a big fan of cork wedges however these have some sort of patent glaze over them which smartens them up. I'm in love!!! I'm dying to wear them out already.....what do you think??

Tess of the D'Urbevilles & Morrison

The other day BBC's Tess of the D'Urbevilles was shown on the tv, and I have to say this movie has now made it to my all time favourite movie list!! I was absolutely mesmerised the whole time, it did help that the stunning Gemma Areterton was the star. She was fantastic and definately did the movie justice. And the strawberry scene.....wowwi wowwi......

One thing that caught my eye was the fashion of that period, and it wasn't the fashion of the upper class, but rather the lower. The clothing worn, thick chunky knits in earthy colours like browns and beige's reminded me of an Australian designer that I absolutely love by the name of Morrison. There designs are just that, rustic, natural, earthy quality clothes that can easily worn with style and grace. They use natural fibres such as linens and cottons. Not only do I love their clothing but I adore their shops also, for those of you who have had the privilege of seeing one of their stores will surely agree with me!

Ahhh to work for Morrison and get the staff discounts!

Of to Borders and Morrison....toodles!

IF I GAVE YOU DIAMONDS AND PEARLS.......

Okay so wasn't it Prince that sang 'if I gave you diamonds and pearls, would you be a happy boy or a girl....' or something along those lines. Well he definately knew what he was talking bout! Today I bought myself some diamonds and pearls and that made me very happy. The only thing is I dont know if I should wear them all together clumped up on one finger, diamonds only, pearls only, or one pearl on its own...the possibilities are endless. Suggestions anyone??

WHAT I DID TODAY

Today I stopped at Max Brenner for a chocolate fix. Their hot chocolates served in their trademark hug mugs are a meal in themselves! They are so rich and sweet, an absolute luxury. Hmmmmm. However after the hot chocolate I really couldn't fit anything else in for a while.

BIG HELLO FROM LITTLE OLD ME!

I was sitting here in front of my laptop wondering what I could write about, what it was that I really enjoyed. Apart from fashion, which most of us love. I realised I like a lot of things. I like my stuff, I like watching people, in particular what they are wearing, I like window shopping, I like watching movies, I like reading books and most of all I love sipping on my chai tea! So I thought I would share with you my fellow readers my day to day happenings. What I saw that caught my eye, what I bought, what I wore, what I did, what movie I watched or what book I read. So at the end of a long and often tiring day, I'd love if you made yourself a cup of tea (or chai) and dropped in to Coco's Pearls to see how my day was. So here goes.......

p.s and yes I have a unnatural obsession with Chanel, hence the title.
