Today I lunched with a good friend at a gorgeous nursery. It was the perfect day for it with the weather warm and breezy. The nursery is also a cafe and gift store. After enjoying a healthy lunch we perused the gift store. I couldn't resist this Circa Home candle that smells divine! There were eight fragrances to choose from, and boy did I have a hard time choosing. I ended up purchasing the 1984 Hyacinth and Lychee. The thing I love about these apart from the smell and packaging (yes I'm a sucker for packaging) is that each candle is dated, which takes you back to a time and place. In this case 1984 is "inspired by a European springtime. Jumbo jets – magic carpets that open up a whole new world. Crisp and sunny Spring days spent exploring historic lands".

Love Love Love.....

Book Review - Coco Chanel: The Legend and the Life

Coco Chanel written by Justine Picardie is a fantastic read. I found that I couldn't put this book down. It's a story of Chanel's life from orphanage to couturier. One thing in this book struck me. The amount of lies Ms Chanel told. Or rather the "stories" she made up.  I suppose that is how she became the person she was. To get somewhere you need to act the part. It seems she lived her life with many people surrounding her yet she was still very very lonely. Which is quite sad.

All in all a great book, and definitely worth a read. A genius of a women...

You know I was looking forward to summer and now that it's here I'm not sure if I want it. I'm having a lot of difficulty finding outfits, and the fact that more then half of my closet is filled with black clothes doesn't help either! Now I understand how those that live in warmer climates like Malaysia and Indonesia find it. But gee some of the blogs l have seen coming out of those countries show me just how fashionable they can be! Anyway I found this cheapy skirt which reminds me of the Missoni print and it seemed to do the job on the day.

Hijabi Fashion Week - Day 5 - Weekend Wear

This is my ultra comfy outfit that I pop on more then I really should! As I don't work, study or go to many functions there really is no need for me to dress up. Don't get me wrong I love to but it would look a little silly me picking up my boys from school and kinder dressed to the nines! Capiche?

If you want to see the other paricipants gorgeous get ups then go to modest theory

Hijabi Fashion Week - Day 2 - Eid

Today for Eid I tried to do the layering of the tones. It is recommended that if you choose to wear the same colour from top to toe you should wear different shades or tones. I hope I have achieved that!

Hijab Fashion Week - Day One - Work Wear

Hey Ladies, so here is the first installment.....Ummm first up I need to clarify that the skirt I was wearing not crinkled because I pulled it out of the wash basket but rather because it is the style of the fabric. It is actually a gorgeous Italian produced skirt, which I fell in love with!!! Enjoy chicka's
